Role-based Permissions

Role-based Permissions are included in all editions so that you can grant limited access to your cattle records to other users. Note that any changes made by a user affect all users in the account.

You can manage user roles by clicking on My Account (gear icon) on the upper left side of the screen > Manage Users > New User or Edit.

The following roles are available:

Role Description
Administrator Can view and modify ALL areas. There can be multiple Administrators on the account. All inquiries regarding secure account information must be from an Administrator. This includes password inquiries, access to accounts, data questions, billing inquiries, and other secure areas and processes.
Manager Can view and modify all areas except users. This role does not have access to add, edit, or delete Users.
Observer Can view all areas except Account settings such as Preferences, Data, Billing, Plans, and Users. Observers can add, edit, and print reports. This role does allow access to financial information on the account.
Editor

Can view and modify all areas except Account settings such as Preferences, Data, Billing, Plans, and Users. This can be helpful when you want to let others enter data from their computers or mobile devices.  This role does not allow access to financial information on the account.
Viewer Can view all areas except Account settings such as Preferences, Data, Billing, Plans, and Users. Viewers can add, edit, and print reports. This can be helpful when you want employees to be able to look up information instead of calling into the office while ensuring they do not make any changes to the records. Viewers can also complete tasks assigned to them. This role does not allow access to any financial information on the account.
Reporter Can only view, add, edit, and print reports and worksheets. This can be useful when needing to grant access to an accountant, comptroller, or other individuals who may not want or need access to the detailed cattle records.
